YOUTH WORK IRELAND IS RECRUITING FOR A

TEMPORARY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER FOR IRISH YOUTH MUSIC AWARDS (IYMA’S)

FULL – TIME POSITION

Youth Work Ireland is a Federation of * local
youth services who deliver quality youth work programmes and projects
to young people in Ireland. We are a rights based and youth-led
organisation and through our network we promote an open, inclusive
integrated and accessible approach to working with and for young
people.

LOCATION: Youth Work Ireland National Office, Dublin 1 with the option
of remote working

SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

DELIVERING THE IRISH YOUTH MUSIC AWARDS PROGRAMME **APPLY ON THE

As part of the National Office team, the Temporary Development Officer
with Responsibility for the delivery of the Irish Youth Music Awards
for * will oversee Youth Work Irelands national
Irish Youth Music Awards programme. This includes engagement with
IYMAs Hubs, the IYMAs Local Live Selections, organising various
workshops, engaging with partners and stakeholders, overseeing all
social media engagement and organising all aspects of the National
Event.

THE IDEA CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES:

* Excellent Project Management Skills.
* Strong organisation skills.
* Excellent writing and communication skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in national
office, member youth services and external stakeholders.
* An enthusiastic self-starter with a target driven approach and the
ability to work to tight deadlines.
* A demonstrated ability to work on their own initiative.
* Knowledge of the Youth Work Sector.
* Knowledge of event management.
* A knowledge of the music/entertainments industry.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

* Candidates should have a good general education. Knowledge of, and
commitment to working with young people and of the entertainment/music
industry would be useful.
